After scrolling through numerous blogs, a few stood out. Not being a blogger myself, coincidently I do not read blogs. Once again, my Communications 634 class has opened my eyes to another useful aspect of the Internet. The first blog I clicked on, and my favorite was mashable.com. This blog covered an array of topics that interest me. Being an avid Apple fan, I thoroughly enjoyed mashable’s reviews on various ipad and iphone apps. I am always curious about the newest apps and reviews on services those products offer. The blog also categorized their write-ups allowing me to chose categories that interest me most. The format of the site made it incredibly easy to navigate and find topics that interest me most. My communications class has also opened my eyes to the importance of social media networks. I am still in awe at how many businesses actively use Facebook and Twitter, I had no idea they served as such a useful tool. Along those lines, I like the blog http://blog.ogilvypr.com/ that focuses on Twitter and Facebook updates and improvements. I had no idea about many of the issues those social networking sites have improved on or plan on updating. Some of the other blogs were confusing having an unorganized format and topics that did not interest me. I had no interest in the blog http://pr.typepad.com/, finding nothing at first glance that caught my attention. Another blog I showed no interest in was http://sethgodin.typepad.com/. Not being able to browse by category had a huge affect on my level of interest for a particular blog. I do not want to browse aimlessly until I find an article that interests me. The blog also dealt with topics that were more focused for businessmen and organizations in which I currently have no care for. The last blog that really caught my eye was http://www.adweek.com/adfreak. Hesitant at first because of the name, I was impressed with the content of the site. Although it is nice to increase your knowledge on topics through blogs, I felt as though this blog was more centered on entertainment. I probably spent the most time on this website watching videos, then reading the captions that went along with them explaining the details and background
